Raleigh-Durham International Airport
Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) provides service to the Raleigh-Durham metropolitan areas. There are over 500 flights daily out of RDU to forty-four domestic and international destinations, including: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta, Orlando, Nashville, Cincinnati, Toronto, Chicago, Minneapolis, Dallas, Phoenix, Las Vegas and London.
RDU is served by ten major airlines, and seventeen regional carriers, including: AirTran Airlines, Continental & Continental Express, Delta & Delta Connection, JetBlue, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, US Airways & US Airways Express, Air Canada & Air Canada Jazz, American & American Eagle, United & United Express.
From RDU you can get to downtown Raleigh via taxi, bus (available through the Triangle Transit Authority) or SuperShuttle. Rental cars are also available.
From I-95:
(Suggested route from Richmond and northward to downtown Raleigh)
Take I-95 into NC, then take exit 138 for US-64 W. Merge onto I-440 E. Merge onto I-40 W. Take exit 298B for S Saunders St, turning right to go towards downtown Raleigh. Keep right on Dawson St. when the road splits. The north-bound lanes will become McDowell St. Turn right on W Davie St. Turn right on S Salisbury St. The Sheraton will be on your left in the first block. A large parking deck will be on your right. After a stoplight, the Convention Center will be on your right. At this point, the back side of the Marriott will be on your left. If you’re going there, take a left on South St (or, you could have taken a right onto it from McDowell), a left on S Wilmington St, and another left on Lenoir. Turn right on Fayetteville St, which is a cul-de-sac ending at the hotel.
Amtrak
The Raleigh Amtrak Station (RGH) is located at 320 West Cabbarus Street, thee blocks from the Convention Center and is the second busiest rail station in the south east. It is served by three trains: the Silver Star, the Carolinian and the Piedmont.
The Silver Star runs from New York to Miami, and serves stations through the eastern corridor. The Carolinian offers service from Charlotte to New York, including many stations in the north eastern corridor and Virginia. The Piedmont runs between Raleigh and Charlotte, and provides service inside North Carolina, including: Cary, Durham, Burlington, Greensboro, High Point, Salisbury, and Kannapolis.
Greyhound
Greyhound Lines’ busses serve thirty seven hundred locations inside the United States, and through their partner Greyhound Canada serve another twelve hundred Canadian locations. The Raleigh station is located approximately 10 blocks from our facilities.
